The logging.properties file

About this task

The path to this file is TWA_home/TWS/JavaExt/cfg/logging.properties (TWA_home\TWS\JavaExt\cfg\logging.properties) on the agent.

After installation, this file is as follows:
# Specify the handlers to create in the root logger
	# (all loggers are children of the root logger)
	# The following creates two handlers
	handlers = java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler, java.util.logging.FileHandler
    
	# Set the default logging level for the root logger
	.level = INFO
    
	# Set the default logging level for new ConsoleHandler instances
	java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler.level = INFO
    
	# Set the default logging level for new FileHandler instances
	java.util.logging.FileHandler.level = ALL

You can customize:
  • The logging level (from INFO to WARNING, ERROR, or ALL) in the following keywords:
    .level
    Defines the logging level for the internal logger.
    com.ibm.scheduling
    Defines the logging level for the job types with advanced options. To log information about job types with advanced options, set this keyword to ALL.
  • The path where the logs are written, specified by the following keyword:
    java.util.logging.FileHandler.pattern
