HCL Workload Automation, Version 9.4

Performing a HCL Workload Automation silent installation

Before you begin

You must install Installation Manager before you perform a silent installation of the HCL Workload Automation package and its prerequisites. Run a check against your system to verify if it meets the product system requirements for a silent installation. See Checking system prerequisites for the master domain manager.

For detailed information about how to install Installation Manager, see the Installation Manager documentation.

About this task

You can silently install the HCL Workload Automation package by using a response file that is provided with the installation eImages in the \response_files\ directory. For a list of response files, see HCL Workload Automation response file templates.

Perform the following steps:

  2. Edit the HCL Workload Automation section. For details about the response file properties, see The HCL Workload Automation response file properties.
Note: Ensure that all the passwords that you specify in the response file are encrypted as described in Encrypting user passwords for response files.
  3. Save the file with your changes.
  4. Open a command-line prompt.
  5. Go to the Installation Manager tools directory.
