HCL Workload Automation, Version 9.4

Defining agents on IBM i systems

About this task

To begin scheduling jobs on IBM i agents, the agent must be in the HCL Workload Automation network. At the end of the installation process, the agent is automatically registered in the HCL Workload Automation database.

You can check the existence of the workstation definition of the agent installed on an IBM i system either by using the Dynamic Workload Console or by using the composer command line.

For information about using the console to view or edit the workstation definitions, see Editing workstation definitions.

For information about using the command line interface to see the workstation definitions, see Workstation definition.

To include the IBM i agent in the plan, see HCL Workload Automation Planning and Installation: Part 3. HCL Workload Automation on IBM i - Configuring a dynamic agent.
