Uninstalling in silent mode

Steps to carry out a silent uninstallation.

To perform a silent uninstallation by using a response file template listed in Table 1, perform the following steps:
  1. Copy the relevant response file to a local directory <local_dir> and edit the file to meet the needs of your environment.
  2. Save the file with your changes.
  3. Open a command-line utility.
  4. Go to the Installation Managertools directory.
    The default tools directory is:
    On Windows operating systems
    C:\Program Files\IBM\Installation Manager\eclipse\tools
    On UNIX and Linux operating systems
    /opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse/tools
  5. Run the following command:
    On Windows operating systems
     imcl.exe input <local_dir>\response_file.xml 
    -log <local_dir>\log_file.xml 
    -acceptLicense
    On UNIX and Linux operating systems
     ./imcl input /<local_dir>/response_file.xml 
    -log /<local_dir>/log_file.xml 
    -acceptLicense
